♠️ Chudadi
Chudadi is a classic Chinese shedding card game. Each turn you must play a higher card or a stronger combination than the previous play—or pass. Be the first to get rid of all your cards to win the round.
🎯 Objective
Empty your hand before your opponents by playing higher-ranking singles, pairs, triples or 5-card combinations.
Rules & Gameplay
- Deck & rank: Standard 52-card deck. Rank order is 3 (lowest) up to 2 (highest): 3–10, J, Q, K, A, 2. Suit order (low→high): ♦ < ♣ < ♥ < ♠. When ranks tie, the higher suit wins.
- Turn flow: Follow the type that’s on the table (single vs single, pair vs pair, etc.). Play a higher card/combination or pass. The highest play wins the trick and leads the next one.
- Valid hands: Single, Pair, Triple, and 5-card hands (from lowest to highest): Straight, Flush, Four-of-a-Kind + kicker, Straight Flush, Royal Flush.
- Scoring (this version): Points favor the player who empties first and those who leave opponents holding many cards; round wins grant a bonus.
- Shortcuts: Space = Play, N = Pass, A = Sort by rank, S = Sort by suit, H = Help.
Strategy Tips
- Save your 2s and high ♠/♥ to win key contests.
- Open with low pairs/triples to draw out opponents’ highs.
- Keep flexible shapes—don’t break every straight too early.
- Sort frequently (A/S) and track what suits and ranks are gone.
Why Play Chudadi

Background & Origins
Chudadi belongs to the family of Chinese “Big Two” shedding games, widely played across Hong Kong, South China and Southeast Asia. They use a 52-card deck with 2 as the highest rank and 3 as the lowest, plus the suit order ♦ < ♣ < ♥ < ♠. Variants differ in the 5-card rankings; this version treats Straight < Flush < Four-of-a-Kind + kicker < Straight Flush < Royal Flush. The mix of simple rules and tactical timing explains its popularity at the table and online.
