Solitaire

🃏 Solitaire (Klondike)

Solitaire, also known as Klondike, is the original and most famous patience card game of all time. Believed to have German or Scandinavian roots, it spread widely in the 19th century and became especially popular in France, England, and the United States.

This is the true classic of all solitaire games—so iconic that it’s said Napoleon himself played during his exile. Simple to learn yet endlessly engaging, it remains the most popular version worldwide.

🎯 Objective

Build four foundation piles (♠ ♥ ♦ ♣) from Ace to King in ascending order.

📜 Rules

  • Cards in the tableau are built in descending order, alternating red and black suits.
  • Only Kings can be moved into empty tableau columns.
  • Draw cards from the stock pile to continue play.
  • The game ends when all cards are moved to the foundation piles.

💡 Tips

  • Uncover hidden cards in the tableau as soon as possible.
  • Always build with alternating colors to keep moves open.
  • Save empty spaces for Kings to maximize flexibility.
