🧭 Game Setup

Game Types: Choose a 3-player or 4-player game. 3-player uses a Double-Nines set; 4-player uses a Double-Twelves set. Four-player games tend to be longer and more complex.

Game Modes: Pick Blitz (3 rounds), Short (6 rounds), or Full (10 or 13 rounds depending on 3p/4p). In standard play, rounds start with the highest double and descend each round:
• 3-player: starts at Double-Nine and ends at Double-Blank after 10 rounds.
• 4-player: starts at Double-Twelve and ends at Double-Blank after 13 rounds.
Blitz and Short start with a random Double and then descend for the prescribed number of rounds.

Appearance: Choose a background theme for the table.

🎮 The Game

Bones, Trains & Engines: Goal is to be first to play all 15 bones (dominoes). Bones are played by matching ends to build trains. Everyone may play on the central Mexican train. Each player also owns a personal train that only they may use during normal play.

Dealing & The Engine: Each round begins with a deal; remaining bones go to the boneyard (draw pile). The player who holds the round’s starting Double has first turn—after placing that double into the Engine Shoe—and effectively starts with one fewer bone.

Turns, Drawing & Passing: Players take turns playing a single bone. You must play if you have a legal move. If not, draw once from the boneyard; if still no play, you may pass. Passing temporarily opens your personal train to others (marked with a penny) until you play on it again.

Doubles: Playing a Double forces you to play again. If you cannot make the extra play, you must draw (and possibly pass). You do not have to continue on the same train as the Double. Leaving a Double uncovered at end of turn creates a cover obligation for the next player; this obligation passes along and freezes normal play until covered. Active obligations are shown with an exclamation mark.

Blocked Trains: A train can block when no bones remain with the required value to extend it—common near the end of 3-player rounds (less frequent in 4-player).

🕹️ Game Controls

Sorting your hand: Your hand appears along the bottom. You can freely rearrange bones at any time to plan trains.

Playing bones: Drag-and-drop a matching bone into the highlighted bracket showing legal plays. Single-click rotates a bone.

No legal play: The game highlights DRAW and PASS when appropriate and shows messages for special states (cover obligations, blocked trains).

Keeping tabs: Only recent bones are visible on each train. Drag a train to scroll and reveal earlier bones. To compare hand points, open MENU → SHOW SCORES for a quick peek at the score table.
