Spider Freecell

🕷️ Spider Freecell

Spider Freecell is a hybrid solitaire challenge: build descending runs in the tableau, use four free cells for breathing room, and finish by building each suit from Ace to King in the foundations.

About Spider Freecell

Your win condition is classic: move every card to the four foundation stacks (top right), building up by suit from Ace to King. The twist is how you manage the tableau and the free cells while keeping your sequences clean and movable.

How to play

  • Goal: Move all cards to the 4 foundations, built in suit from Ace to King.
  • Tableau move (single card): Move the top card of a column onto another column if it makes a descending sequence (suits don’t matter for this single-card move).
  • Tableau move (group): Move a descending sequence as a unit only when it’s in alternating colors.
  • Free cells: Use the 4 free cells (top left) as temporary storage for single cards.

Tips and tricks

  • Keep at least one free cell open when possible so you can untangle blocked columns.
  • Prefer building alternating-color runs, because those are the sequences you can move as a group.
  • When you have a choice, play cards that uncover hidden options and open new moves.
  • Build toward foundation starts: protect Aces and low cards so each suit can begin climbing.

Game controls

  • Mouse: Drag and drop cards (or click a card, then click the destination, depending on device).
  • Touch: Tap/drag to move cards.

Features

  • FreeCell-style planning with a Spider-like tableau flow
  • Four free cells for tactical storage
  • Clean, classic foundations: Ace to King by suit

Spider Freecell Frequently Asked Questions

What is the objective in Spider Freecell?

Move all cards to the four foundations, building each suit from Ace to King.

Can I build in the tableau without matching suits?

Yes. For single-card moves, you can build a descending sequence regardless of suit.

When can I move a sequence as a group?

You can move a descending sequence together only if it’s in alternating colors.

What are the free cells used for?

The four free cells hold single cards temporarily so you can free up moves and reorganize columns.

Do foundations require suits?

Yes. Foundations are built in suit from Ace up to King.

What’s the best beginner strategy?

Use free cells sparingly, keep alternating-color runs intact, and prioritize moves that open columns and reveal new options.
