🔵 Pegz
Pegz is a clean take on classic Peg Solitaire. Jump one blue peg over an adjacent peg into an empty hole—the jumped peg is removed. Clear the board and finish with a single peg in the centre hole.
🎯 Objective
Remove pegs by jumping until only one peg remains, ideally in the centre.
Rules & Gameplay
- Valid move: Jump exactly one neighbouring peg horizontally or vertically into an empty hole two spaces away. Diagonals are not allowed.
- Multi-jumps: After a successful jump you may continue jumping with the same peg if another jump is immediately available.
- Controls: Click a peg, then click the destination hole. Use Undo/Restart if the game provides them.
Strategy Tips
- Work from the outside in to avoid isolating pegs on the rim.
- Create and resolve ladders (three in a row) to chain multiple jumps.
- Keep the board symmetrical when possible; symmetry often leads to solvable endgames.
- Plan backwards: aim to finish with a central cross that collapses into the centre hole.
Why Play Pegz
Elegant rules, satisfying chains, and quick restarts make Pegz a perfect logic snack for short breaks or deep focus sessions.
Background & Origins
Peg Solitaire—also called Solo Noble—appeared in France in the late 17th century and spread across Europe. The best-known boards are the 33-hole “English” cross and the 37-hole “French” pattern. Its blend of symmetry, planning and satisfying jumps keeps the puzzle timeless.
